Zhaoguantun Primary School, located at the bank of Nanyun River in Tianjin, is the 248 primary school donated by Sunhope Public Welfare Foundation. The unveiling ceremony was successfully held on April 17. This elementary school has been rooted here since the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China. However, as time passed, the school's hardware facilities gradually showed signs of aging. Due to years of disrepair, the ceramic tiles on the walls of the school hallway have peeled off, the classroom walls are mottled, and even the roof leaks on rainy days.
After learning this situation, Sunhope Public Welfare Foundation quickly contacted the school, and carried out in-depth understanding and evaluation of the school's maintenance and reconstruction project. After discussion, Sunhope decided to donate 190000 yuan for the maintenance and reconstruction of the school. This funding will mainly be used to repair fallen tiles, paint mottled walls, and solve problems such as roof leaks, thereby improving the teaching environment of the school.
In addition, Sunhope Public Welfare Foundation also set up Sunhope Library for Zhaoguantun Primary School, which is also the 155th Sunhope Library. According to the book list provided by the school, Sunhope donated more than 1380 books worth 60000 yards in total, aiming to create a reading space full of knowledge and fun for children.
