On October 17, 2011, Sunhope Qingbin Primary School in Wawuzhuang, Shanxi Province held a plaque unveiling ceremony.
Through a series of on-site inspections in the early stage, Sunhope people learned that this school is located in a remote area of Wawuzhuang, Shanxi Province, with poor transportation and even no communication network. It is isolated deep in the mountains and has little contact with the outside world. There is only one primary school within dozens of miles of the local area, and children in nearby villages have to walk a long time to school every day. Moreover, only one teacher shoulders the teaching and management work of the entire school, and its rudimentary situation can be imagined. Since the beginning of the aid construction plan, Sunhope Company has devoted a lot of effort to transforming the teaching environment here: building school buildings, painting walls, updating tables and chairs, configuring computers, and striving to create a bright and warm learning environment for children.
Just before the unveiling ceremony, the local area had been experiencing continuous rainy weather for 40 days. The day before, a serious landslide occurred, burying the road and making it muddy. However, despite such harsh conditions, the Sunhope Love Team was still unable to stop its progress. The Sunhope team, warmly welcomed by local villagers and school teachers and students, drove into the unveiling ceremony site.
