The 262nd Sunhope Public Welfare School is unveiled! Love sets sail on the plateau, building dreams in the Xining campus

Recently, the sunshine of the plateau shone across the campus, and a warm and solemn unveiling ceremony was held at Gonghe School in Gonghe Town, Huangzhong District, Xining City, Qinghai Province. As the red silk slowly fell, the six shining characters "Sunhope Public Welfare School" were revealed - marking the official completion of the 262nd Sunhope Public Welfare School, and also the first public welfare school built by Sunhope Public Welfare Foundation in Xining City.

This aid construction was jointly initiated by Sunhope Charity Foundation and Sunhope Love Ambassador Sun Dan, with a total investment of 190,000 yuan for campus construction, and a donation of 60,000 code yuan (equivalent to more than 1,900 volumes) of high-quality books to help the school establish a Sunhope library, building a bridge for students in the plateau region to access knowledge and realize their dreams.

Before the construction and renovation of the playground

       Since its expansion in 2008, the playground at Gonghe School in Huangzhong District, Xining City, Qinghai Province, has always been a concern for teachers and students. The 711.5 square meters of loess playground that was leveled out back then provided children with space for activities, but it was dusty and muddy during rainy days.

      In 2017, the school made efforts to secure funds to harden the playground with cement and lay artificial turf and rubber tracks. Over the past seven years, the tracks have gradually become delaminated and thinner, with rubber falling off in some areas, leaving the cement surface exposed. This not only affects usage but also poses safety hazards.

After the construction and renovation of the playground

      "Children always have to be cautious during physical education classes, afraid of falling," a teacher said with emotion.

Today, Sunhope's assistance has brought a new life to this playground, which bears countless childhood memories. A special fund of 190000 yuan will be used for the comprehensive renovation and upgrading of the playground, which will completely solve problems such as poor drainage, foundation collapse, and track damage, and create a safe, comfortable, and modern sports space for children.

As the ambassador of love for this aid project, Ms. Sun Dan said, "Education is the key to changing destiny. Seeing children running on the old playground has strengthened my determination to participate in public welfare. I hope this aid project can not only improve hardware facilities, but also inspire children to dare to pursue their dreams
